STEP 1: Create a Google Analytics account
Go to google.com/analytics and do one of the following:
To create an account, click Start for free.
To sign in to your account, Click Sign in to Analytics.
STEP 2: Setup a Web Property in Google Analytics
Follow these instructions to setup a property in Google Analytics (be sure to select a "Web" property). Once the property is setup, find and copy the property Tracking ID under Property > Tracking Info > Tracking Code. It will start with "UA-" (see below). Keep this page open as you'll come back to it soon.
STEP 3: Paste Tracking ID into The Church Co Dashboard
Login to your The Church Co account and on the main dashboard, scroll to the bottom and click "Add Ons & Integrations".
Click on "Google Analytics".
Paste your Google Analytics property Tracking ID and click "Save Changes"
STEP 4: Check Google Analytics to make sure everything is working correctly
Go to the Google Analytics property page and next to where you found the Tracking ID you'll see a "Status" section. If it says that you have 1 or more active users right now then everything is setup correctly. If it says "0 active users right now" then click the "Send Test Traffic" button and wait 15-30 seconds until it says you have "1 active user right now". Once it says you have an active user then Google Analytics setup is complete.
If the number of active users doesn't change or you get an error, return to step 1 and repeat the steps on this page.
