  2. This will open the Global SEO settings page, where you can configure SEO elements for your entire website.

Step 4: Add Meta Title

  1. In the Global SEO settings, locate the Meta Title field.

  2. Enter a descriptive and keyword-rich title for your website. This title will appear in search engine results and should accurately reflect the content and purpose of your church's website.

    • Example: "Welcome to Redemption Bible Church Belleville | Join Us for Worship and Community"

Step 5: Add Meta Description

  1. Find the Meta Description field.

  2. Enter a concise and informative description of your website. This description should summarise what visitors can expect and include relevant keywords.

Step 6: Add Keywords

  1. Locate the Keywords field.

  2. Enter a list of relevant keywords separated by commas. These keywords help search engines understand the content of your website and improve its search ranking.

    • Example: "church, Belleville, worship, community, fellowship, Bible study"

Step 7: Add Social Share Image

  1. Find the Social Share Image field.

  2. Click on the Upload button to upload an image that will be used when your website is shared on social media platforms.

    • Choose an image that is visually appealing and represents your church well.

    • Recommended size: 1200 x 630 pixels.

Step 8: Save Your Changes

  1. After entering all the necessary information, scroll to the bottom of the page.

  2. Click on the Save button to apply your changes.

Step 9: Verify Your Changes

  1. Once saved, it's good practice to verify that your changes have been applied correctly.

  2. You can use SEO tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Google Search Console to check how your meta title and description appear in search results.

Tips for Effective SEO Meta Titles and Descriptions

  • Be concise: Meta titles should be around 50-60 characters, and meta descriptions should be 150-160.

  • Use keywords naturally: Ensure your primary keywords are included, but avoid keyword stuffing.

  • Make it compelling: Write engaging and informative descriptions encouraging users to click through to your website.

  • Include your church name: This helps with branding and ensures users know who you are.

By following these steps, you can effectively manage the SEO elements of your church website on The Church Co platform, helping to improve your search engine visibility and attract more visitors to your site.
