Written by Paul Cox

Adding a Prayer block to your page on The Church Co platform is a simple process. Follow the steps below to get started:

  1. Create a New Page

    • Log in to your Church Co dashboard.

    • Navigate to the Pages section.

    • Click New Page

  2. Add the Prayer Block

    • In the page editor, you can find the plus icon at the top left corner.

    • Click the plus icon to open the block selection menu.

    • In the search bar, type "Prayer" to find the Prayer block.

    • Click on "Prayer Engine" at the top of the search results. This will add the Prayer block to your page.

  3. Customize the Prayer Block

    • You can customise the heading once the Prayer block is added to your page. For example, you can change it to a question like "What can we pray for?"

    • Users will see a "Submit a Prayer Request" button. When they click it, a form will open.

  4. Customize the Form

    • The form is customizable, along with the actions that occur after submission.

    • To edit the form and its settings, click the little pencil icon at the top of the Prayer block.

  5. Configure Additional Settings

    • The prayer request will appear as a grid underneath the Prayer block if it is made public.

    • You can change the number of visible requests, button text, and prayer type.

    • Set a notification email to direct the requests to the appropriate team, such as [email protected].

    • Categorize and split the requests by campuses if needed (e.g., City Campus).

    • At the bottom, you can adjust the styling to match your website's theme.

  6. Save Your Changes

    • Save your changes once you have customized the Prayer block and form settings.

    • Click the "Save" button at the top right or bottom of the page editor.

By following these steps, you will successfully add a Prayer block to your page on The Church Co platform, allowing users to submit prayer requests easily.
